Between November 6-10, 2023, the University of Bucharest organizes the first edition of the Sustainability Week and invites members of the UB community to a series of workshops, competitions or debates that aim to raise awareness of sustainable actions. These align with the international approach of the United Nations Organization on the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the 2030 Agenda.
The week begins with awareness workshops whose topics address energy efficiency, biodiversity and environmental protection, social responsibility and inclusion and diversity in sustainable development policies. To these are added a series of actions with educational, sports and social purposes:
- Step Competition: “Step Week at UB”.
- Exhibition: “Responsibility has no age”.
- Guided tours: Discover UB’s heritage.
- Awareness actions: “Week without an elevator”, “Movement for a healthy lifestyle”.
- Volunteering: “Be a UB volunteer!”.
- Donation campaigns: “Academy of Good Deeds” and “I Support SEED”.
The event is addressed to the entire academic community of the University of Bucharest, some activities being held at the UB Headquarters (Șos. Panduri, no. 90).
