Almost half of the candidates admitted to the National Institute of Magistracy are graduates of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. Thus, out of the total of 270 admitted candidates, 123 are graduates of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, representing a percentage of 45.56% of the total.
The results of the competition for admission to the National Institute of Magistracy, held between July 2022 and March 2023, were recently validated by the Superior Council of Magistracy.
The success of this year’s competition is part of the upward trend of recent years, when the results of the graduates of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest were between 33-38% since 2016 and reached 46.47% in the competition held between July 2021 and April 2022.
“This year’s results are part of a tendency already established for many years. For the continuation of this development of honorable results, we send our warmest congratulations to the admitted candidates, as well as thanks to all the teaching staff and the Law Students Association for the training programs carried out for admission to the National Institute of Magistracy. We also congratulate all the admitted candidates and, in particular, those from the other member faculties of the Hexagon of Law Faculties which, together with UB graduates, represent 85.56% of the total of those admitted” is the message sent by the representatives of the faculty.
Currently, the Hexagon of Law Faculties is an informal consortium of the most prestigious law faculties in Romania: the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, the Faculty of Law of “Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca, the Faculty of Law of the University of Craiova, the Faculty of Law of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi, the “Simion Bărnutiu” Faculty of Law of the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu and the Faculty of Law of the Western University in Timișoara.
