CIVIS announces two new opportunities for CIVIS academics: Visiting Research Fellowships at the University of Glasgow Library and chair on “Worlds of labour” proposed by the CNRS Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (InSHS) and the Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University (IMéRA).
The University of Glasgow Library: Visiting Research Fellowships
The University of Glasgow Library is pleased to announce that its Visiting Research Fellowships scheme for 2023 is now open. This scheme seeks to support scholars from across academic disciplines to come to Glasgow to work on our unique research collections.
Value of the fellowships: up to £2000. Apply by 17th November.
Applicants are asked to complete the Visiting Research Fellows Application Form and to submit along with a short CV to library-asc@glasgow.ac.uk.

The CNRS Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (InSHS) and the Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University (IMéRA): chair on “Worlds of labour”
The CNRS Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (InSHS) and the Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University (IMéRA) have joined forces to propose a chair on “Worlds of labour”. The beneficiary will develop his or her research in collaboration with LEST (Labour Economics and Sociology Research Unit).
Apply by 7th December.
The holder of the Chair receives a monthly allowance of 3000 euros. She/he will also benefit from paid travel expenses and free accommodation on IMéRA premises.
Applications will be selected on the basis of scientific and/or methodological excellence and risk-taking as well as the interdisciplinary dimension of the proposed project.
The residence period is between 4 Sept 2023 and 5 July 2024.
