The European Commission has awarded CIVIS with 2 million Euros to support the Research & Innovation (R&I) Dimension of the consortium. The financial support is aimed to develop the “RIS4CIVIS” project, led by Aix-Marseille University (France), one of the eight member universities of the CIVIS alliance, and is offered within the H2020 “SWAFS” call for projects, the largest R&I program of the European Union. The winning project has a 3-year duration.
The “RIS4CIVIS” project will therefore reinforce the R&I Dimension of the CIVIS European University, in line with its shared, integrated, long-term strategy and in synergy with their education dimension. The objective is to develop a common R&I strategy for the consortium sharing research infrastructures, reinforcing human capital, mainstreaming Open Science practices and reinforcing the cooperation with businesses and civil society.
CIVIS is a European Civic University formed by the alliance of eight leading higher education institutions across Europe: Aix-Marseille Université (France), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens(Greece), University of Bucharest (Romania),Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), Sapienza – Università di Roma (Italy), Stockholm University (Sweden), Eberhard Karls Universität Tubingen (Germany).
