On Friday, April 8, 2022, the University of Bucharest, the Institute of African Studies and the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Bucharest are organizing the international conference “Conceptualizing and understanding the role of the African diaspora(s) in Europe and in Africa”.
The event, held under the auspices of CIVIS, will take place online, on the Zoom platform, starting at 10 am, Romanian time. Interested persons are requested to access the following login link at the start time of the event (password is JKYG93).
In the opening of the event, will take the floor associate professor Mugur Zlotea, PhD, vice-rector of the University of Bucharest, associate professor Simona Corlan-Ioan, PhD, director of the Institute of African Studies within the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest, and Professor Cristian Preda, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Bucharest. The program will continue with four parallel sessions, which will address the theme of the conference from various perspectives.
In conclusion, associate professor Simona Corlan-Ioan, PhD, director of the Institute of African Studies within the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest, and lecturer Domnica Gorovei, PhD, from the Department of Political Science and the Institute of African Studies, will draw the conclusions of the meeting.
