If you are involved in researching a subject of interest at the University of Bucharest and you want to learn improve your public presentation skills, your place is at Games of Science, competition that promotes science to everyone’s understanding and offers young researchers access to public speaking courses and a community of scientists and science supporters in all domains.
The project addresses Bachelor, Master and PhD students, as well as researchers, teaching staff and other specialists aged 20-35 who work in education and research or other organizations with scientific profile.

Games of Science has 8 local sessions, followed by a national final which will take place in May.
During the training, participants discover how to clearly and concisely explain ideas and complex processes. The competition is an original format, elaborated by Ada Rossetti, and is meant to familiarize young researchers with short public presentations, usually ranging between 15 seconds to 3 minutes.
The 8 training sessions in public speaking are free and are held in university centers as well as online, to allow the participation of as many researchers as possible.
Registration to any of the local editions ca be made, within the available seats, on the website Games of Science. Registration is not conditioned on the affiliation to host universities, but by the availability of the participants. They should be present in certain cities and dates, as follows:

- Brașov, March 14 -15, “Transilvania” University in Brașov
- Cluj-Napoca, March 21 – 22, “Babeș-Bolyai” University
- Sibiu, March 28 – 29, “Lucian Blaga” University
- Constanța, April 4-5, “Ovidius” University
- Timișoara, April 11 – 12, West University
- Online, April 18-19 (open).
The Games of Science jury comprises scientists, local and regional experts, representatives of universities, science communicators and supporters of science communication in various fields. Each stage of the project will have a dedicated and diverse jury to integrate all subjects brought to the table by participants in the competition.
The 2024 edition of Games of Science is organized by SciPublic Forum, association aiming to prepare and train scientists for collaboration and communicating with large audiences, and Social Innovation Solutions, organization active in the field of sustainability, social impact and innovation. The project has the support of partners Raiffeisen Bank and Aqua Carpatica, and is implemented with educational partners from 7 university centers: the University of Bucharest, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iași, “Transilvania” University in Brașov, “Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca, “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu, “Ovidius” University in Constanța and West University of Timișoara.
