Dear Romanian Ethnics candidates,
Before you can start the admission process, please check if you meet the mandatory requests:
- What means “Romanian Ethnics”?
Based on the Law no. 299/2007, Romanian Ethnics represents:
a. the persons who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity;
b. the persons of Romanian origin and those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural vein, who live outside the borders of Romania, regardless of the ethnonym used (armâni, armânji, aromâni, basarabeni, bucovineni, cuţovlahi, daco-români, fărşeroţi, herţeni, istro-români, latini dunăreni, macedoromâni, macedo-români, maramureşeni, megleniţi, megleno-români, moldoveni, moldovlahi, rrămâni, rumâni, valahi, vlahi, vlasi, volohi, macedo-armânji) as well as all other lexical forms semantically related to the above;
c. Romanian emigrants, whether or not have retained Romanian citizenship, their descendants, as well as Romanian citizens with permanent domicile or residence abroad.
! Be aware that if you possess Romanian citizenship and residence in Romania you must follow the admission process directly at the faculty of your choice as a Romanian citizen.
2. Have you found the academic offer of your desire?
Here you can find the information about available places and the specific requirements for Bachelor, Master and Phd studies.
Candidates that are part of the Romanian Ethnics category and that want to apply for Bachelor’s Degree programs for paid places, will follow the admission process directly to the desired faculty.
Be aware that, in order to apply as a Romanian Ethnic, it is mandatory, before you can apply for the desired bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, to follow the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language, if you can not attest the level of Romanian language by submitting a certificate attesting his/her knowledge of Romanian with the minimum level required by each faculty or a certificate proving that the candidate has had at least 4 consecutive years of studies in Romanian language.
In order to follow the process of admission for the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language please register on the admission platform.
3. Do you have a high school diploma recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education?
HERE you can check the list of recognized high school diplomas.
Dual citizenship holders, one of them being the Romanian citizenship, and also having the residence in Romania, will follow the admission procedure dedicated to Romanian citizens (the admission is directly organized by the UB Faculties; please check the desired faculty website as found HERE).
Before you start the admission process on the platform, in order to have a valid admission file, make sure you have ALL the documents as listed here:
