Redistribution of Places for Candidates Validated in the July 2025 Admission Session – Bachelor’s Degree
The University of Bucharest is organizing the redistribution of places reserved for the category Romanians Abroad / Ethnic Romanians for the Bachelor’s degree cycle, which remained unoccupied after the July 2025 admission session.
All candidates validated in the July 2025 Bachelor’s admission session, who remained on the waiting list after the preliminary ranking and were subsequently rejected in the final lists, may apply for up to 3 study programs from the unoccupied places, in order to be admitted to the University of Bucharest.
Candidates must access the redistribution platform via this link: https://forms.gle/iiNEfSip8m799tAa8, complete their personal information, and upload the admission form filled in and signed by hand.

- September 8 (09:00) – September 12 (16:00) – submission of applications
- September 15 – centralization of applications

- September 18 – confirmation of places and resolution of appeals
- September 19 – publication of final results

ADMISSION FOR ROMANIAN ETHNICS 2025–2026
What does “Romanian ethnics” mean?
According to Law no. 299/2007, ethnic Romanians are defined as:
a. Individuals who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity;
b. Persons of Romanian origin and those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural branch, living outside Romania’s borders, regardless of the ethnonym used (e.g., Armâni, Armânji, Aromanians, Bessarabians, Bukovinians, Cuțovlahi, Daco-Romanians, Fârșeroți, Hertzeni, Istro-Romanians, Danubian Latins, Macedoromâni, Macedo-Romanians, Maramureșeni, Megleniți, Megleno-Romanians, Moldovans, Moldovlahi, Rrămâni, Rumâni, Vlachs, Valachs, Vlasi, Volohi, Macedo-Armânji), as well as all other lexical and semantic forms related to these;
c. Romanian emigrants, whether or not they have retained Romanian citizenship, their descendants, as well as Romanian citizens with permanent residence or domicile abroad. If you also hold Romanian citizenship and have residence in Romania, you must apply directly to the faculty you are interested in
All candidates who are “Români de pretutindeni /Romanian ethnics” and who wish to apply for bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programs on tuition-free places (with or without scholarship) must follow the admission process organized by the External Relations Office within the Department for International Relations.

Admission is done directly through the faculty only in the following cases:
Candidates who wish to apply for bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programs as paying students must follow the admission process organized by the respective faculty.
Tuition fees are paid in the national currency (RON – Romanian leu).

At the time of enrollment, all students, regardless of how they were admitted (via the faculty or the Department for International Relations), must report to the External Relations Office with their passport (including a study visa if required) or residence permit, along with proof of tuition payment.
