After socio-humanities, health is the second most addressed field when it comes to CIVIS Blended Intensive Programs: 16 such courses are open for application by October 31st 2024.
The courses approach both classical themes, such as ageing and mental diseases, as well as subjects related to the newest challenges in the field, the RNA, molecular biomedicine or radiotherapy.
Furthermore, program creators have considered initiating a course which can teach scientists how to work on their papers. Here is the full list of BIPs:
- How to write a paper and talk about science
- Immuno-oncology in the spatial omics era
- Radiotheranostics in Nuclear Medicine
- Science, Ethics & Governance of Human Genome Editing
- Surgical Anatomy- from theory to dissection
- Medical Matters in Post/ colonial Situations – in English and French
- Mental Health, Sport & Physical Activity (MHSPA)
- Experimental Models in Molecular Biomedicine (EMMB)
- Non-coding RNAs in Health and Disease
- Molecular Scale Biophysics
- Rare Diseases at the Omics era: Current tools for frequent challenges
- New insight in Drug design and discovery: from the bench to the patient
- Humanities within Medicine and Health
- Basic Cell Biology
- Neurobiology of Mental Disorders
- Biological Basis of Aging and Related Diseases
Each BIP is developed, organized and taught by teaching staff from at least three universities members of CIVIS, and combine online courses with 5 days of physical mobilities in one of the home countries of the universities involved in the program. Details and registration forms are available on the individual webpage of each course.
For most programs, English proficiency, the CV and Cover letter are the main selection criteria. Graduating a BIP offers students 3-9 ECTS and is mentioned in each participant’s CIVIS passport.
The physical mobility is supported financially from the Erasmus funds, given that the applicant does not benefit simultaneously from another ERASMUS scholarship. More details are available on the dedicated page.
