The faculty of Baptist Theology is a faculty of the University of Bucharest which prepares and equips young men and women in the spirit of evangelical Christian faith, for them to become involved in the life of the churches and of the contemporary society.
The Faculty of Baptist Theology was established in 1991, having as specializations the didactic Baptist theology and the social Baptist theology. The faculty also currently offers the opportunity to follow Master’s degree studies for two years, as well as Ph.D. studies in theology.
The faculty offers a modern material base which supports the didactic and research process, which is composed of electronic equipment in laboratories and of a library, laptops and video projectors, used in the teaching process. This offers dynamism to the study offer and augments the institutional credibility on the market of educational services.
The faculty aims to contribute consistently and creatively to the cultural, social, ethical and spiritual consolidation of the Romanian society as a society which is integrated in the European Union, by affirming cultural diversity and the values of Christian civilization, especially the Protestant, evangelical ones.

Every year the Faculty of Baptist Theology together with the Baptist Theological Institute in Bucharest organize at least one scientific communications session with national and international involvement (England, the Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands, the USA, and the Republic of Moldavia etc.) It has grown every year both from the point of view of the variety of the themes approached as well as from the point of view of the numbers of participants.
The Faculty of Baptist Theology manifests a true opening towards the collaboration with the foreign countries, by having partnerships and collaborations with universities and research institutes in Great Britain, the United States of America, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Moldavia. From all of these we can mention the following: the cooperation with TCMII of Indianapolis, the USA and TCMII of Vienna, Austria; Research – with Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford, England; Collaboration – the organization of scientific communications sessions – with the Theological Pedagogical College of Chişinău, the Republic of Moldavia and with the Providenţa Foundation, in Bucharest, Romania.
