Organized by the University of Bucharest and now in its 10th edition, the UBtalks competition continues in 2023, awarding projects. Dare to win with your project! The gates of the competition have opened for BA, MA and PhD students.
The deadline for registration in the UBtalks competition is February 10th, 2023, and the address where you can register the project is UBtalks@unibuc.ro.
You only need to propose, in 5-6 lines, a topic that will arouse both the interest and the curiosity of the audience, on the basis of which you can give a 10-minute speech in the final stage of the competition. You can apply individually, but also in teams of 2-3 people.
The jury will be made up of professors from the University of Bucharest, managers and communication specialists.
How do you reach the finals of the competition?
If you are selected, you will participate in the first stage of the program, which consists of an online training session, during which teaching staff of the University of Bucharest and communication experts will advise you in order to prepare the final presentation, help you to put the basics of new strategies for selling your ideas and will help you improve your public speaking techniques. At the end of the training session, the coordinators will decide the finalists of the 9th edition of UBtalks.
In the second stage of the competition, the presentation session (final) will take place in front of the jury and the audience. The presentation must be attractive and comprehensible to an audience outside the field of specialization, well documented, original, relevant, creative and solidly argued. It can be accompanied, if necessary, by photo, video or audio materials.
In addition to the experience of meeting groups of students and the knowledge from the workshops, you can win various prizes offered by our sponsors, but also a place at the Creativity School organized by the University of Bucharest in Cumpătu, Sinaia in July.
