The University of the Bucharest offers, between July 16th – 18th 2024, free access to the spaces of the Dimitrie Brandza Botanical Garden and invites nature lovers to discover the over 3.500 plants it fosters.
The initiative of opening the gates of the Dimitrie Brandza is part of the anniversary program proposed by the University of Bucharest to the large audience to celebrate 160 years since its founding and 330 years of continuity of higher education in Bucharest, since the founding, in 1694, of the Princely Academy by Constantin Brâncoveanu.
Moreover, during the entire week, in an ample exercise to highlight the over 300-years history of academic tradition of the Romanian space, the University of Bucharest will organize a series of events that will bring together students, teaching staff and researchers, representatives of the civil society, public policy makers and representatives of central and local authorities in Romania and Europe.
More information regarding the series of events organized by UB with the occasion of the 160th anniversary since its founding are available on the website dedicated to the anniversary, 160.unibuc.ro.
