Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Professor Marian Preda, PhD, Rector of the University of Bucharest, and Associate Professor Sorin Costreie, PhD, Vice-Rector for University Networks and Public Relations at the University of Bucharest, participated in the “Our bet on science” event.
Organized within the Magurele Science Park in order to identify the possibilities for the development of research projects on the Magurele platform, the conference brought together ambassadors and representatives of the Embassies of Germany, Norway, Italy, Sweden, Great Britain, Japan, Poland, United States, Chile, Portugal, Canada, France and Serbia.
In fact, the organizers of the event noted that the 13 states are states “with a tradition in attracting capital and human resources for major research projects.”
During the event, the representatives of the University of Bucharest emphasized the important role that the University holds within the Magurele Science Park, as an Associate Member.

Founded in 2016, the Magurele Science Park Association aims to contribute to the development of innovative entrepreneurship at regional and national level, by creating links between industry and research and by ensuring the necessary framework for permanent dialogue between the two.The initiative to establish this association belongs to Ilfov County Council, the National Research-Development Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering “Horia Hulubei” (IFIN-HH) and the City Hall of Magurele and is supported by the University of Bucharest, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, local, regional and governmental institutions, by the research institutes on the Magurele Platform, but also by the high tech business sector.
