The first day of the event was dedicated to professor John Hattie, reputed specialist in the field of education and learning, teaching staff at the University of Melbourne, Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Bucharest.
John Hattie launched, in Iași, the book Visible Learning: The Sequel, a reference paper in the field, in which the author translated complex research into practical strategies which can be implemented in classrooms.
Thus, professor Hattie shared participants his perspectives on efficient teaching and the factors that influence learning, offering them the opportunity to apply this knowledge in their own educational context. The second day of the event was dedicated to thematic workshops, with innovative educational solutions and efficient manners of implementing these for improved professional practices in education institutions.
At the 2024 edition, the main goal of the event – offering innovative solutions and perspectives in the educational field to efficiently navigate in the digital age, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence generates in education – was certainly reached.
We are experiencing continuous change. […] Digitalization is a irreversible process and each sector must discover the means and resources by which it can adapt efficiently. Education is no exception to this. Adapting to the digital environment, that students are familiar with, transforming teaching and learning practices are the challenges schools must face, in an efficient, friendly and collaborative way, concluded the organizers.
The forum was organized by UAIC USM, in partnership with the Aristotle Republican Theoretical Highschool in Chișinău, the Romanian Literacy Association, AGIRoMd (The General Association of Teachers in Romania, the unit of the Republic of Moldova) and Quartz Matrix (company in Romania offering solutions and services to other organizations in IT, engineering and education).
