13 special places and performance scholarships for olympians and athletes who choose the University of Bucharest
Bucharest, September 4, 2023. The University of Bucharest (UB) is offering more than 8,000 places to the competition for the autumn session of admission 2023. The autumn session of the admission competition to the UB faculties has already started in some faculties (the admission calendar is available on each faculty’s website) and ends on September 23 at the latest.
For undergraduate studies, the University of Bucharest offers candidates interested in studying at one of the 19 faculties a number of 2,824 places (of which 410 budgeted), for those interested in master’s studies, UB offers 5,177 places (of which 629 budgeted), while the doctoral schools of UB put up for competition 100 budgeted places.
More details on the number of places put up for competition by each faculty are available on the websites of the 19 faculties of the University of Bucharest.
To support candidates, the University of Bucharest offers both the possibility to pay the registration fee online, by completing the form available at www.po.unibuc.ro, and the possibility to register online for the admission competitions.
Special admission session and performance scholarships for Olympians and athletes who choose the University of Bucharest
The University of Bucharest is organizing, starting from the academic year 2023 – 2024, a special admission session for international Olympians and athletes who won medals at European, world and Olympic competitions for Olympic, Paralympic and chess sports. They can register at university level at the e-mail address admitere.olimpici@g.unibuc.ro, according to the special calendar established and available on the admitere.unibuc.ro website.
Also, the University of Bucharest offers, in the autumn session of admission 2023, a number of 13 scholarships designed for them. Thus, for the academic year 2023 – 2024, the monthly amount of the scholarships will be 1,500 lei (gold medal/first place), 1,250 lei (silver medal/second place) and 1,000 lei (bronze medal/third place).In addition, all candidates who register for the admission competition at the University of Bucharest in the autumn session can benefit, along with two other people, from free access to the “Dimitrie Brandza” Botanical Garden of the University of Bucharest, daily, until September 23, 2023, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Access is based on the participant’s ID card for the admissions competition.
