The University of Bucharest declared its institutional commitment to the social mission of ensuring an accessible, inclusive and open-minded educational environment and meeting the needs of students with disabilities in an attempt to remove barriers to access to higher education for vulnerable groups.
Thus, a series of measures were adopted aimed at supporting young people with special needs in fully accessing the opportunities and the administrative and educational services offered by the University of Bucharest.
At the same time, the University of Bucharest proposes and undertakes to strengthen the administrative capacity by diversifying the means of communication and support services and also to integrate accessibility standards in future projects aimed at adapting the physical and digital infrastructure to the needs of people with disabilities.

Facilitating access to assistive technologies
4 vehicles to climb the stairs/stair climber/elevator with tracks for wheelchairs
Assistive devices for visually impaired people (scanner and printer)
Integrated systems for visually impaired students (step hear sensors)
Rooms equipped for students with mobility needs: special bathrooms with shower seats, wide wheelchair entrances, adjustable furniture
Mentoring, counseling and integration services
PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE AND INTERVENTION CLINIC
It offers psychological and educational evaluation services, assistance and psychological and educational counseling to students and staff of the University of Bucharest, as well as to members of the neighboring community.
CAREER COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
It offers career counseling, vocational guidance, information on UB study fields, counseling and psychological and aptitude assessment.
It is a strategic document that underlined the institutional commitment of the University of Bucharest to the promotion of gender equality and implicitly inclusive policies in all activities within the institution.

INCLUSION, EQUITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY DEPARTMENT
It addresses students who face: disabilities or chronic diseases, risk of dropping out of school, coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, of different nationalities or ethnicities, with social integration issues, belonging to the LGBTQIA2S+ community, different addictions or any difficulty of a social nature.
