ANAMARIA GEBĂILĂ
Associated Professor at the Department of Italian of the Foreign Languages and Literatures Faculty of the University of Bucharest, where I teach linguistics seminars. I am interested in semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, history of the Italian and French Languages and history of cultural and academic relations between Romania and Italy during Communism.
I graduated in 2005 from the Foreign Languages and Literatures Faculty of the University of Bucharest (French & Italian) with the thesis Norma e purismo lungo la storia della lingua italiana. In 2006 I obtained my Master degree in Romance Philology with the thesis Il purismo otto- e novecentesco in Italia ed in Francia. In 2010 I defended my PhD thesis in cognitive semantics entitled La sinestesia in italiano, francese e romeno. Visione comparativa. In 2008-2010 I received a research scholarship at the Accademia di Romania in Rome. I published various linguistics articles and the volume L’attenuazione nel discorso politico ai tempi del “gentese”. Una prospettiva contrastiva francese-italiano-rumeno (2019) and I translated different essay and literature volumes, among which the bilingual edition of Gli Asolani by Pietro Bembo (Humanitas, 2014).
