Eliana Ionoaia is a lecturer at the University of Bucharest, where she has been teaching 19th and 20th century British Literature since 2006 (as an adjunct before the 2013 academic year). She has earned a PhD (2012) in literary and cultural studies from the same university. Her Ph.D. was focused on the cultural typologies in the twentieth century British fantastic novel. She has published articles on John Fowles, Jean Rhys, Alasdair Gray, Ronald Frame, Michel Faber and Doris Lessing to name but a few authors. Her research interests range from memory studies and historiography to gender studies and Neo-Victorian Fiction.
