Ruxandra-Oana Raianu is an associate professor of Japanese Linguistics, Terminology, at the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest having an experience of more than 20 years in teaching and research. Her domains of interest an research are: Japanese language and linguistics, Japanese specialized terminology, Japanese language teaching language, Japanese for specific purposes. She is the co-author of Rōru purei de manabu nihongo kaiwa – Burugaria to Rūmania de hanasō (Japanese Conversations by Role Playing – Let’s Talk in Bulgaria and Romania), published abroad, and author of Jōkyū Nihongobunkei Kaisetsu (Advanced Level Japanese Sentence Patterns). She is a also the author of the theoretical book Gradația în limba japoneză în perspectivă tipologică (Grading in Japanese from a Typological Perspective), an outcome of her PhD thesis.
