Short Biography
Mr. Vlad-Andrei ANTOHE was born in Bucharest, Romania, on October 11th, 1979. He received in 2002 a Bachelor degree (B.Sc.) in Physics Education and in 2005 a Master diploma (M.Sc.) in Physical Electronics, from Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest, Romania. He also obtained in 2003 an Engineering degree (M.Eng.) in Electronics from Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania. Subsequently, Mr. Vlad ANTOHE finished in 2012 a doctoral program in Applied Engineering Sciences, the Ph.D. diploma being awarded by Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, where he continued his Post-Doctoral studies until 2016. Since then, he activates as both, Associate Professor within Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest, Romania, and Scientific Collaborator within Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences, Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium.
Besides academic and teaching activities with undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students, his main research interests are in the areas of materials science and nanotechnology, with focus on the development and investigation of nanostructured materials and low-dimensional systems, with the aim of generating novel structural arrangements tailored to specific desired properties. Mr. Vlad ANTOHE has also expertise in the fabrication and characterization of various electronic and optoelectronic devices based on nanostructured materials, such as sensors and biosensors, as well as solar cells.
