ACCOMMODATION IN UNIVERSITY’S CAMPUS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS
The University of Bucharest may accomodate the students in the limit of the available places.
The alternative for all independent students is renting a flat or renting a room in a private campus.
In case you decide to rent a flat we strongly advise you to contact a real-estate agency (agenţie imobiliară). The commission fee is usually 50% of the rent for 1 month. Most often for a two-room flat you have to pay between 250 – 300 EUR per month. All utilities have to be payed separately: water, electricity, gas, telephone, etc.
Note that it is necessary to sign an accommodation contract with the landlord (the contract will be required to the Immigration Office in order to apply for the residence permit). A deposit representing the rent for the first three months is usually required. It will be refunded at the end of your stay, provided that you leave the flat in good condition.
