The sports centre of the University of Bucharest comprises 11 sport facilities and fields, having a generous schedule of sport activities, which are held Monday through Friday during 08:00 and 22:00, with the weekends dedicated to various sport competitions.
The facilities of the centre host activities for mountain sports, athletics, self-defence, badminton, basketball, fitness, competitive dancing, popular dancing, football, judo, handball, karate, aerobic gymnastics, medical gymnastics, swimming, chess, tae-bo, tennis, table tennis and volley.
List of facilities
1. Pitar Moş Facility – situated in the premises of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, meant for classes of: badminton, aerobic gymnastics, basketball, volley, karate, competitive dancing and table tennis;
2. Panduri Facility – situated in the courtyard of the Faculty of Chemistry, meant for classes of: aerobic gymnastics, competitive dancing, basketball, volley, handball, karate and tennis;
3. Măgurele Facility – situated in the courtyard of the Faculty of Physics (in the Măgurele village), meant for classes of: aerobic gymnastics, basketball, volley, handball, table tennis and fitness;
4. Facility no. 3 – situated in the premises of the Faculty of Law, meant for classes of fitness;
5. Facility no. 4 – situated in the premises of the Faculty of Law, meant for classes of: aerobic
gymnastics, medical gymnastics, tae-bo, competitive dancing and popular dancing;
6. The Chess Room – situated in the premises of the Faculty of Law, meant for chess classes;
7. Two football fields with synthetic grass – situated in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law, meant for classes of football;
8. Multifunctional field (with a synthetic runway) – situated in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law, meant for classes of volley, basketball, athletics and tennis;
9. Three tennis fields (of clay) – situated in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law, meant for tennis classes;
10. The self-defence room – situated in the premises of the Kogălniceanu campus in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law, meant for classes of: self-defence and judo;
11. The swimming pool (through a lease contract) – situated in the Steaua Sport Complex on Ghencea Boulevard, meant for lessons of swimming and therapeutic swimming;
12. Cumpătu Facility (Sinaia) – meant for mountain sport activities.
*Through the Patrimony Department, the sport fields within the Faculty of Law as well as the Măgurele facility are rentable, fees varying between 15 and 200 RON/hour.
