The CIVIS Civic Engagement micro-program, launched by the University of Bucharest, the Autonomous University in Madrid and Tübingen University, next to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is once again open for registrations. By October 18th 2024, students from Bachelor’s and Master’s programs interested in combining several courses and module in a single, coherent study manner can apply for the micro-programe.
Civic Engagement has been designed to inspire participants to have an active contribution to society, transferring their academic knowledge into practice. Thus, participants will learn to take on responsibilities, they will gain experience by working for the community and will interact with other students in Europe in order to gain ample insight into the challenges of contemporary society.
Due to the use of virtual, hybrid and physical mobilities, students can build their own flexible micro-program, without those barriers which often limit the participation to traditional course at European level. Moreover, considering that a micro-program is jointly conceived and offered by several universities in the CIVIS Alliance, these mobility options open the way to new learning experiences, innovative pedagogies cultural exchanges, multilinguism and connections with other students from the CIVIS Alliance.
This program pursues not only the personal, but also the professional development of the participants. At the end of the program, participants will receive the CIVIS passport, one of the first instruments that recognizes and registers educational experience at European level.
In addition, participants to the CIVIS BIP Civic Engagement and Football: A Transdisciplinary Approach will also obtain credits for the micro-program CIVIS Civic Engagement. Registrations for the CIVIS BIP will debut on September 16th 2024 and can be done here.
