These programmes cover a broad range of themes—from cultural studies and European communication to philosophy, law, linguistics, and cultural diplomacy. Each course brings together teaching staff and researchers from several CIVIS member universities and offers students an intercultural, interdisciplinary, and collaborative learning experience.
Each BIP is developed, organised, and delivered by academic staff from at least three CIVIS member universities, combining online teaching sessions with five days of physical mobility in one of the host countries of the participating institutions. Detailed information on course content, duration, and application procedures can be found on the individual page of each programme.
For most programmes, English language proficiency, a CV, and a motivation letter are the main selection criteria. Successful completion of a BIP is rewarded with 3–9 ECTS credits and recorded in each participant’s CIVIS Passport.
The application deadline is 30 October 2025.
Students may apply for up to two programmes within the same call via the CIVIS website.
More information about BIPs and the application process is available on the official CIVIS webpage.
CIVIS is a European University Alliance bringing together 11 universities: Aix-Marseille Université (France), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), University of Bucharest (Romania), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Stockholm University (Sweden), Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen (Germany), University of Glasgow (United Kingdom), Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (Austria), and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland).
