On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the University of Bucharest was awarded the “School Recognition for Outstanding Contribution” at the Junior Achievement Romania Gala (Invest in Education). The event brought together over 300 participants – students, teachers, mentors, and representatives from academia and the business sector – to celebrate entrepreneurial education and innovation in Romanian schools and universities.

The gala marked the end of the 2024–2025 academic year for Junior Achievement programs and gathered both participants and supporters of educational initiatives implemented nationwide, including those involving the University of Bucharest. Awards were presented to students, teachers, institutions, and private-sector partners for excellence, involvement, and impact in promoting entrepreneurial learning.
The University of Bucharest was recognized for its strong contribution to fostering entrepreneurial education among students through its active participation in JA programs and competitions. The “School Recognition for Outstanding Contribution”, awarded as part of the Entrepreneurial University program, is a further acknowledgment of the University’s sustained commitment to innovation in education.
Guided by UB faculty, multiple student teams developed entrepreneurial projects within the JA BizzFactory™ educational incubator and took part in the Gen-E 2025 entrepreneurship competition, benefiting from mentorship, workshops, and pitch sessions.
