Aurora Firţa PhD is Lecturer in the Department of Romance Languages of the University of Bucharest, where she delivers lectures about the Italian Literature in the 18th and 19th centuries, and hands over classes of Terminology and Translation Theory. In 2014 she became project coordinator for the Romanian Research Institute in Venice and at the same time responsible for the Romanian Language and Literature Classes at the Ca’ Foscari University. Her research activity is focusing upon the 19th and 20th centuries Italian Poetry (Leopardi în secolul XX. Cazul Quasimodo, 2013) and Translation Studies emphasizing verse translation from Italian to Romanian. She translated into Romanian poems by Giorgio Caproni (Poesie/Poezii, forwarded by Biancamaria Frabotta, 2014) and Dino Campana (Canti Orfici/Cânturi orfice, forwarded by Fiorenza Ceragioli, 2017) and contemporary italian poetry (Poezia italiană de astăzi, cotrad. Smaranda Elian, forwarded by Francesco Napoli, 2020).
