Having been active for over 15 years, the Academica Hotel has won the trust of a great number of public institutions, organizations and figures in the academic world from both within the country and from abroad.
The Academica Hotel is owned by the University of Bucharest and it is an accommodation quarters found in the Mihail Kogălniceanu Student Complex on 36-46 Mihail Kogălniceanu Boulevard, sector 5, Bucharest, next to the Romanian National Opera, to the Faculty of Law and to the University of Bucharest Chancellorship. It is 15 minutes away from the Old Centre of Bucharest and conveniently close to the interest points of the area: the Cişmigiu Garden, the National Military Circle, the Technical Military Academy, and the Palace of the Parliament.
The Academica Hotel has four floors and offers 42 rooms equipped with air conditioning, refrigerators, TV and individual bathrooms. Each room includes modern means of communication and free access to Wi-Fi internet. The 42 rooms are configured as follows: 32 single rooms, 8 double (twin) rooms and 2 triple rooms. On request, the single rooms can be configured to become double (twin) rooms.
On the ground floor of the hotel there is the lounge area (where there is a computer connected to the internet), the dining room and the reception desk, which has a non-stop programme. The guests who ask for orientation with the public transportation system, for ordering a cab, for sending a fax or for photocopying a document can approach the reception desk; these services are provided free of charge by the reception desk staff.
The accommodation quarters is 200 metres away from the Eroilor metro station and it is accessible through the following RATB public transportation lines: 61, 66, 69, 70, 85, 90, 91, 92, 122, 137, 138, 268, 336 and 601. The Bucharest North railway station is easily and quickly accessible by metro or by RATB public transportation lines 85 or 123. Also, the Henri Coandă International Airport can be reached by RATB public transportation lines 780 (from the Bucharest North railway station) or by 783 (from the Piaţa Unirii metro station – second station from Eroilor).
