The University of Bucharest (UB) is continuing the initiative first launched in 2024, inviting student associations and individual students to promote the University’s educational opportunities. Applications are now open for the 2026 project competition aimed at promoting UB’s academic programs in high schools located in communities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.
The competition is open to UB students and student associations and seeks projects that promote the University’s degree programs, student services, and opportunities for accessing higher education among high school students in rural areas (villages and hamlets) and towns with fewer than 10,000 residents. Funded through the CNFIS-FDI-2026-F-0053 project – UB: A Modern, Inclusive, and Equitable Academic Community (UB-ACCEPT 3), the competition will award funding of up to RON 3,000 for each of the five selected projects.
Students involved in implementing the winning projects will become UB Ambassadors and, depending on their availability, will have the opportunity to participate in additional University of Bucharest activities, educational outreach events, and other promotional initiatives.
Project proposals must be submitted electronically by the student team leader via the online application form, no later than Sunday, 13 September 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Students whose projects are selected for funding will receive extracurricular scholarships/awards of up to RON 600 per student, regardless of the size of the project team. These awards will be granted after the submission of the project implementation reports.
