On the ocassion of Christmas, the “Virtute et Sapientia” Foundation of the University of Bucharest embodied the spirit of Santa Claus for the 84 pupils registered in the program Educational Support for Underprivileged Children program (SEED), offering the children an extra reason to believe in the magic of Christmas.
The volunteers and donors of the foundation, along with Kaufland Romania and the members of the Office for Inclusion, Equity and Equality of Opportunity of the Directorate for Strategy, Evaluation and Monitoring of Public Policy within the University of Bucharest, have carefully prepared gifts for the children in SEED.
The pupils received festive packages containing food (cakes, chocolate, candy etc.) and clothing items. The packages also included beautifully customized holiday cards wishing them happy holidays and ecouraging them in their activities.
This charitable action wasn’t just about material things, but also about empathy, generousity and the joy of giving. The SEED pupils will certainly rembember this beautiful event which brought them much joy and hapiness in this festive period.
Moreover, the organizers thoughfully shared the same joy with the students of the University of Bucharest who are confronted with difficult situations. They too received festive gifts which will hopefully strenghten their trust in social solidarity and the spirit of an inclusive community.
Not lastly, the SEED pupils also had a few surprises from the members of the project Leaders of Tomorrow in Bucharest, who offered them school requisites, clothing and hygiene products.
