The Marseille Rare Diseases Institute (MarMaRa), member of the CIVIS Alliance, launches a new PhD program addressed to those who want to acquire in depth knowledge and abilities in the field of genetics by attending a series of stimulative trainings.
By means of this program, the MarMaRa Institute promotes research and cross-disciplinary learning in the field of rare diseases, both locally and nationally, as well as internationally – with connections to the socio-economic and cultural environment.
The program includes five training sessions, four online and one in physical format (in Marseille), all in English, addressed primarily to PhD students. However, if the maximum capacity of attendees is not reached, Master’s students, engineers and researchers are also welcomed in the program. After each training, the participants will receive an attendance certificate.
Trainings will take place in March, April, May, and June, as follows:
- March 12th 2024 – Statistics for genomics: continuous probability distributions (online)
- March 18th 2024 – Introduction to microscopy for cell and tissue imaging (offline)
- April 24th 2024 – Fundamental notions in medical genetics (online)
- May 29th 2024 – Statistics for genomics: discrete probability distributions (online)
- June 6th 2024 – Single cell RNA-seq analysis (online)
More information about each training session, as well as contact data, are available on the MarMaRa Institute’s website. In addition, MarMaRa will launch, in the near future, a new series of trainings, among which Therapy of rare diseases, Genome editing or Epigenomics.
