The Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB) announces changes to the information packages for the ICUB Fellowships for Young Researchers and Visiting Professors programs.
Fellowship for Young Researchers
ICUB offers each year a number of postdoctoral fellowships for young researchers. These fellowships are awarded for a period which can vary from 3 to 12 months to young researchers with an excellent track-record. During the time of their stay in Bucharest, fellows will be full-time members of the academic community of ICUB. There is no deadline, the applications can be submitted throughout the entire academic year.

Fellowships for Visiting Professors
According to its mission of promoting excellence in research and encouraging international collaborations, the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB) offers each year a number of research fellowships for visiting professors to senior researchers with an outstanding track-record. The purpose of these fellowships is to foster scientific collaborations and to encourage the development of high quality international collaborative projects.
The candidates must be senior researchers with a noteworthy international experience in their area of study, willing to conduct a research project under the auspices of the ICUB. The project can include organizing a scientific event (conferences, presentations, colloquiums, workshops), writing applications (individual or collaborative), providing expertise, guidance for postdoctoral scholars or cooperation with fellows from the University of Bucharest on particular projects.

Specifically, for both programs, the number of annual sessions has changed and, starting with 2026, there will be a single selection panel (November-December). At the same time, the participation conditions for the scholarship programs have been modified by diversifying the activities during the fellowships.
