We have extended the registration deadline for the UBtalks competition until Monday, March 16, 2026. You can submit your #10/10 project to UBtalks@unibuc.ro.
Organized by the University of Bucharest and now in its 13th edition, the UBtalks competition continues in 2026 to reward the #10/10 projects of the exam session. Dare to win with your project! The competition is open to University of Bucharest undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students.
All you need to do is propose, in 5–6 lines, a topic that sparks both interest and curiosity, on the basis of which you will deliver a 10-minute talk in the final stage. You may apply individually or in teams of 2–3 people.
The jury will consist of University of Bucharest faculty members, as well as managers and communication specialists.
How do you reach the #10/10 projects final?
If selected, you will take part in the first stage of the program, which consists of an online training session. During this stage, University of Bucharest professors and communication experts will mentor you in developing your final presentation, help you build new strategies for pitching your ideas, and support you in refining your public speaking skills. At the end of the training session, the coordinators will decide the finalists of the 13th edition of UBtalks.
The second stage of the competition consists of the presentation session (the final), held in front of the jury and the audience. The presentation must be engaging and accessible to a non-specialist audience, well-documented, original, relevant, creative, and strongly argued. If appropriate, it may be accompanied by photo, video, or audio materials.
In addition to the experience of meeting other student groups and the knowledge gained through the workshops, you can win various prizes offered by our sponsors, as well as a place at the Creativity School organized by the University of Bucharest in Cumpătu, Sinaia, in August.
