In 2026, authors affiliated with the University of Bucharest will be able to publish their scientific articles Open Access without paying individual Article Processing Charges (APCs), thanks to the transformative agreements negotiated by ANELIS Plus.
These agreements provide both access to leading international scientific resources and the possibility to publish research results openly in eligible journals. As such, they contribute to increasing the visibility, impact, and dissemination of scholarly work, in line with the principles of Open Science.
Who is eligible
The following categories of authors affiliated with the University of Bucharest are eligible to benefit from these agreements:
- faculty members
- researchers
- PhD candidates
- master’s students
Eligibility is subject to the following conditions:
- authors must correctly state their affiliation with the University of Bucharest, an ANELIS Plus member institution;
- the article must be published in a journal included in the current transformative agreements.
The agreements cover only prestigious, internationally recognized publishers and journals and exclude outlets associated with predatory publishing practices. For this reason, authors from the University of Bucharest are strongly encouraged to give priority to journals included in these agreements when selecting a publication venue.
To benefit from the agreements, authors must choose the Open Access publishing option during the journal’s editorial process, both at the time of article submission and after acceptance for publication.
Detailed information on the 2026 agreements, including the number of APCs available and the list of eligible journals, is available on the ANELIS Plus website.
