Save the date: 17th of December 2024, „Christmas Blessings”, the concert of the University of Bucharest Choir

The University of Bucharest Choir invites the entire academic community to a special Christmas carol concert on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Titled Christmas Blessings, the event will take place starting with 7:00 PM in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest (36-46 Mihail Kogălniceanu Boulevard).

Admission to the Christmas concert is free.

This year’s event marks three significant anniversaries: 160 years since the founding of the University of Bucharest, 75 years since the establishment of the University of Bucharest Choir, and 35 years since the 1989 Revolution. In this context, the concert is more than an artistic moment—it is a celebration of tradition, community, and solidarity.

The evening’s repertoire will include Christmas songs and carols from Romanian and international traditions, showcasing the diversity present in Romania. The performances will feature students, as well as alumni, and staff of the University of Bucharest, all music enthusiasts, with or without formal training in the field.
