On February 23 and 24, 2023, the first edition of the Annual Research Results Conference was held at the University of Bucharest.
Gathered in the “Ioan Mihăilescu” amphitheater within the Rectorate of the University of Bucharest, professors, researchers, specialists from various fields and from different generations, had the opportunity to present, in a friendly and modern setting, their approaches, conclusions, as well as future projects; representing, through the wealth of approaches, “a real tour de force”.
Thus, as prof. Carmen Chifiriuc, PhD, vice-rector of the University of Bucharest for Research states, the conference was an occasion for “an energetic dialogue, with multiple perspectives, based on the encouragement of innovative ideas and sustainable projects. I could see once again that, in the field of research, originality or the exploration of new themes are not enough, but we need continuous effort, at individual and team level, rigorous methods and permanent readjustment to the realities of the moment, collaboration at national and international level, of long-term institutional support, even when immediate results are not possible”.
The communications at the event covered the specific fields of the faculties of the University of Bucharest and the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest, being structured on a series of panels that highlighted the diversity and interdisciplinarity of the topics:·
- Linguistics in interdisciplinary research
- The impact of climate change: realities and theoretical models
- Methods, structures and perspectives in the digital society
- Interactions: culture and the natural environment
- Man and environment – complex networks, common themes
- Methodological diversity and integrative approaches
- From cellular structures to human macrostructures: a dynamics of phenomena
- Institutions, models, editions, perspectives
Thus, the event intended to be not only a sign of normality in any contemporary institution, but also a complex multidisciplinary resource for current and future researchers. To the same extent, as prof. Carmen Chifiriuc points out, “the event was a signal that science, research and culture are essential pillars in preserving our common values. Not rarely threatened lately, they must be reaffirmed, supported, defended.
Through them, ideas express themselves freely and rigorously, become productive and generate solutions, even in crisis situations, as happens more and more frequently in the contemporary world. This is what makes us believe that organizing such sessions is an imperative, both for our university and for Romanian society as a whole”. At the same time, thanking the fellow organizers, moderators and participants for their involvement, prof. Carmen Chifiriuc emphasized that “we await with interest your contributions, comments and suggestions, convinced that only together we will be able to maintain a milieu based on dialogue, diversity and collaboration between fields and institutions”.
