On Friday, 10 October 2025, the Ministry of Education and Research, in partnership with the University of Bucharest, the Bucharest Teacher Training Centre (Casa Corpului Didactic), and the “Grigore Moisil” National College in Bucharest, will host the launch conference of the OECD Teaching Compass 2025 report.
The event will begin at 14:00, in the Senate Hall of the University of Bucharest (90 Panduri Avenue).
The OECD Teaching Compass 2025 serves as a guiding framework for policy makers, teacher training institutions, and educators, offering key insights into teacher professional development, the attractiveness of the teaching career, and the support systems needed for high-quality education.
Designed as a “compass,” the report outlines adaptable directions that reflect each country’s context, based on comparative international data.
The conference is open to the public, and welcomes teachers, future teachers, pupils, students, education experts, academics, and civil society representatives interested in the future of education.
The Bucharest launch event will highlight the report’s international findings and recommendations, while also exploring their relevance to Romania. The agenda includes:
- a presentation of the report,
- a panel discussion featuring teachers, students, and education experts, and
- a Q&A session open to both in-person participants and those following the live stream on the University of Bucharest’s Facebook page.
Those interested in attending the OECD Teaching Compass 2025 launch conference are invited to register by completing the online form available here, no later than Thursday, 9 October 2025, at 13:00.
