Between 23–25 June 2025, the University of Bucharest took part in the 2025 edition of the CIVIS Staff Week on EU Project Management, organized by the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
The event brought together representatives from CIVIS member universities and the European Commission, focusing on preparations for the upcoming FP10 Framework Programme and strengthening collaborative projects under Horizon Europe.
The main topics included:
EU research and innovation priorities for 2024–2029 (DG RTD)
Integration of social sciences and humanities in FP10
Knowledge security and export control in academia
Current challenges in research administration
Non-EU international funding opportunities (Human Frontier, UKRI, SNSF)
Hands-on workshop on collaborative projects, dedicated to CIVIS members
The participation of the University of Bucharest, represented by Raluca Bogdana Sibinescu (Department of Research Management – International Projects Service), contributes to strengthening the institution’s capacity to attract and manage European funding, adapting to new impact and ethics requirements in research, and expanding strategic international collaborations.
