On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the University of Bucharest will organize a student debate entitled “Strengthening the Eastern Flank: NATO’s Vision for Romania,” with the participation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The event will take place at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, in the “Ioan Mihăilescu” Amphitheatre (90 Panduri Street, 1st Floor, Sector 5, Bucharest), between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.
The debate will focus on key themes such as security, international cooperation, and youth engagement in addressing current global challenges.
Press access to the debate hall will not be permitted. A dedicated press room will be available in the same building, in the Council Room of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work (90 Panduri Street, Ground Floor, Sector 5, Bucharest), where the debate will be broadcast live. The recording of the event will be made available on the University of Bucharest’s official YouTube channel within the next few days.
No interviews, press statements, or Q&A sessions are scheduled, as the event is designed as an interactive discussion with University of Bucharest students.
Members of the press attending the event are advised to take note of the following access conditions:
attendance is subject to prior accreditation, which may be obtained by submitting the journalist’s full name, personal identification number, and media outlet to contact@pr.unibuc.ro no later than 4:00 p.m.
access to the press room will be authorized exclusively upon presentation of a valid ID card or another valid identification document, together with the original press credential.
to ensure timely accreditation verification, entry to the event will close at 9:00 a.m.
due to logistical considerations, vehicle access and parking within the campus premises will not be permitted.
