Driven by a strong commitment to education and the development of future generations, the University of Bucharest launched in 2021 the “Virtute et Sapientia” Foundation, a meaningful initiative aimed at encouraging deeper involvement from the academic community and its partners in supporting education and student development.
Starting from the belief that financial hardship prevents many young people from continuing their studies and reaching their full potential, the foundation’s mission is to offer real solutions to prevent school dropout among students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
“Beyond the shared responsibility we all have in shaping future generations, we see this initiative as a chance to reaffirm the role of the University of Bucharest in society and to support young people with limited financial means,” is the message from the UB Foundation team.
The “Virtute et Sapientia” Foundation offers all employees the chance to redirect 3.5% of their income tax to support students in need. This can be done simply by completing Form 230 (PDF), which you can download here.
Steps to redirect 3.5% of your income tax:
- Download Form 230 and fill it out with your personal information.
- Scan and send the completed form to: fundatia@unibuc.ro.
Forms can be submitted until May 21, 2025. After submitting, ANAF (the tax authority) will contact you to confirm your wish to redirect the tax amount. - Alternatively, if you prefer not to send it online, you can mail the filled-out form to your local tax office by May 25.
