Recently, Princeton University has launched a call for applications for the Princeton University Program on Science and Global Security (SGS), which will take place between October 10th – 16th 2024.
SGS represents a unique opportunity for UB researchers to explore the technical perspectives on understanding, reducing and eliminating the threat of nuclear weapons, as well as to investigate new ways of improving global security and safety. More information about this program is available here.
Interested persons can submit their applications by Monday, June 17th 2024. The competition is open to all students and researchers in the fields of natural sciences, engineering or mathematics. The members of the UB academic community are invited to apply to the 2024 SGS edition, where they will have the chance to approach the theme of global security policy in their field of research.
Necessary documents for applications include: a two-page CV; a short paragraph on the motivation of studying nuclear weapons problems; the title and a 200-word abstract of the presentation; a 100-word biography and a high resolution portrait photograph. The documents will be sent by email at the address: sgs-school@princeton.edu.
Selected participants will be informed of the results by July 1st 2024.
Princeton University Program on Science and Global Security (SGS) will cover visa and travel costs, as well as accommodation and meals. At the same time, the program includes a half-a-day break, during which attendants will have the opportunity to explore Princeton or visit New York City.
