CIVIS and its six strategic partner universities (Africa) are developing a proposal for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchange (SE).
The main objective of the action is to develop a joint staff exchange (SE) programme of CIVIS and its strategic partners in Africa, promoting research and innovation (R&I) on societal challenges. Strategically positioned at the interface of Open Labs (OL) and thematic Hubs, such a project shall link, on the one hand, CIVIS’ academic collaboration in Hubs with our civic engagement initiatives and, on the other hand, CIVIS with its African partners in the promising realm of civic innovation (Social/Community/Open Labs).
The current working group developing the proposal invites other members from CIVIS and its strategic partner institutions in Africa to participate in the further development of the application and – if successful – in the MSCA SE scheme, i.e., members who can relate their research and/ or innovation projects, ideas, and ambitions to the objectives and methods outlined in the concept note and who may benefit from the types of interactions described therein. This particularly applies to researchers, management, and technical staff involved in civic engagement initiatives at their home university.
Those who wish to get involved are kindly asked to fill in this short online form by 7 December. The concept note describing main objectives, approaches, types of interactions, budget scenarios etc. for the proposed MSCA SE can be seen here.
