From 8 to 10 August 2025, the second edition of the Autumn Longboard Tour (The Perseids Ride) brought together sports, culture, and community spirit on a 30 km route in Călărași County, from Lehliu Gară to the Boarding Nation Island.
An important moment of the event was the special stop at the Sultana–Malu Roșu and Sultana–Valea Orbului archaeological sites, where participants enjoyed an exclusive guided tour as part of the 2025 archaeological research campaign coordinated by the University of Bucharest.
Supported by the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB), through the ArchaeoSciences Platform (ASp), under the umbrella of the Sultana-School of Archaeology, this initiative showcased the connection between scientific research, informal education, and outdoor exploration.
