Presenting research results emphasizing interdisciplinarity, conciseness, and collaboration. The UB community is invited to submit abstracts by November 1, 2025
Between November 26-29, 2025, the University of Bucharest (UB) and The Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB) are organizing the fourth edition of the annual conference on communicating research results within the University of Bucharest.
Members of the academic community from all scientific fields, professors and researchers, coordinators of research centers or groups, and project directors, are invited to submit abstracts using the following format by November 1, 2025, to the email address events@icub.unibuc.ro.
The presentations will be structured so that, in a maximum of 15 minutes and using accessible language for colleagues from all specialization fields within UB, they communicate the main results obtained during the 2024-2025 academic year within relevant research endeavors.
This year’s edition will be structured around the concepts of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth, taken both as concrete elements and as metaphorical meanings, to encourage the interdisciplinary approach and the exchange of experience and perspectives.
What we aim for is for the conference papers to lead to a dynamic multi-, trans-, and interdisciplinary dialogue and active and innovative exchanges of ideas and approaches, generating new collaboration perspectives between colleagues from diverse fields of specialization and study. In other words, we want members of the University of Bucharest community to have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with projects by colleagues from faculties and structures in other research areas so that they can identify those common areas of interest that can lead to new collaborative endeavors.
As such, the panels of this conference are designed as spaces for interaction between various research areas and do not operate with divisions based on traditional scientific field criteria. Therefore, we reiterate that the way presentations are formulated, the use of language adapted for all categories of the public, and conciseness in presenting projects are essential for a real and efficient exchange of ideas.
This year, the conference will also feature two poster sessions, intended to facilitate access to as many presentations as possible and to allow sufficient time for informal interaction among participants.
The 2025 edition of the research results communication conference will include a series of special panels dedicated to the UNESCO International Geopark “Țara Hațegului”, research and archaeological stations, the Doctoral Schools within UB, as well as raising awareness about the directions of research results assessment reform (COARA), in accordance with the principles of open science.
The program and the rooms where the conference will take place will be communicated after the centralization of registrations.
Through this event, the University of Bucharest aims to consolidate the connections within its academic community, as well as to create prerequisites for the development of interdisciplinary collaborations, which should lead to the awareness, by the entire society, of the value of research endeavors.
Previous editions of the research results communication conference at the University of Bucharest have been a real success both through the diversity of proposed themes and approaches, and by setting an open, collegial, and modern discussion framework, focused on innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
