On May 9–10, 2025, the University of Bucharest welcomed more than 3,000 participants from across all 39 counties of Romania, including Bucharest, to its very first festivALL UB. Among them were two passionate visitors from Satu Mare, who traveled over 650 kilometers just to say #present. At its peak, over 1,500 young people were simultaneously exploring the vibrant array of booths and activities hosted in the “Dimitrie Brandza” Botanical Garden.
All 19 faculties of the University and their invited partners – from SciResCareer, the Learning Center, DCOC, CIVIS, and DEFS, to Art Safari, Teach for Romania, Kaufland, Junior Achievement, and AIESEC – transformed their stands into interactive zones packed with ideas, inspiration, and enthusiasm. Visitors left not just with brochures, bookmarks, superhero-themed notebooks, stickers, pens, or campus maps, but most importantly, with a clearer, more confident vision of their future.
The two-day program was carefully curated to offer a diverse and engaging experience. From the start, the atmosphere was open, welcoming, and charged with excitement.
“I spent 40 minutes at every booth that caught my interest!” said Andrei, a high school student with eyes full of curiosity. Just before leaving, he smiled and added, “I can’t wait for the next festivALL UB! Will there be one next year? Please do it again, and make it even bigger!”
festivALL UB also featured 14 special events – including music workshops, counseling sessions, performance poetry, and fitness activities like yoga and aerobics powered by DEFS and AQUA Carpatica. The ESCAPISM performance by Cuibul Artiștilor captivated audiences, while the UB Choir filled the garden with harmonious melodies. As if guided by the beats, even the weather cooperated – thanks, perhaps, to the good vibes brought by DJ Christian Thomson (powered by George by BCR). For those who love a good story, the UB Museum’s Treasure Hunt proved to be a favorite, blending fun, mystery, and discovery.
The first edition of festivALL UB was brought to life by the University of Bucharest’s Communication and Public Relations Department, with support from Kaufland Romania, BCR Romania, and Aqua Carpatica, and in collaboration with the “Virtute et Sapientia” Foundation, the “înCotroceni” Association, Teach for Romania, Cuibul Artiștilor, Art Safari, and Junior Achievement Romania.
