The University of Bucharest is opening more than 6,000 places for the fall admission session of 2025. For bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs across UB’s 20 faculties, the fall admission process will take place, depending on each faculty’s schedule, until Sunday, 14 September 2025.
For bachelor’s studies, the University of Bucharest is offering candidates more than 2,200 places, of which over 400 are state-funded. For those interested in master’s studies, UB is making available more than 3,700 places, with over 200 of them state-funded. Out of the total bachelor’s places, 35 are reserved for graduates of high schools located in rural areas, and another 17 are allocated to candidates of Roma ethnicity. Each faculty has its own admission calendar within the above-mentioned period, which can be consulted on the websites of the respective faculties.
To support candidates, the University of Bucharest offers both the option to pay the application fee online, via the form available at www.po.unibuc.ro, and the possibility of online registration for the admission contest.
Special admission session and performance scholarships for Olympic Athletes
In 2025, the University of Bucharest is organizing a special admission session for athletes who have won medals at European and world championships in Olympic sports and chess, as well as at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This session will take place prior to the general admission session. Candidates may apply at the university level by writing to admitere.olimpici@g.unibuc.ro, according to the special calendar published at admitere.unibuc.ro.
The University of Bucharest also grants scholarships to pupils and students who have won gold, silver, or bronze medals at scientific Olympiads and international competitions, should they choose to pursue studies at one of UB’s 20 faculties. These scholarships are open to medalists in Olympic Games, world and European championships, and university world championships for Olympic sports and chess, including events organized for athletes with disabilities.
