Nicoleta Gabriela Gheorghe holds a PhD in philology at the University of Bucharest with her dissertation titled Augmentatives in German Contemporary Language and Their Translatability into Romanian: A Contrastive and Corpus-Based Analysis. Her main interests include Translation Studies and Language Interpretation, Morphology, Lexicology, Foreign Language Didactics, Semantics, and Language Acquisition.
Nicoleta Gabriela Gheorghe obtained her degree at the University of Iași (Faculty of Arts/Letters), Romania, majoring in French language and literature as well as in German language and literature. After graduating and earning her degree in Iași in 1999, she enrolled in the Magister Artium program at the Institute of Romance and German Philology within the Technische Universität in Dresden in 2003. She graduated in 2006 with the Master’s thesis L’abbé Grégoire et la politique linguistique pendant la Révolution française, receiving an outstanding grade. Alongside her intense philology studies, she taught French at the Volkshochschule, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik and at the Technical University in Dresden. Moreover, she taught Italian, French, and Romanian, working as a freelance German-Romanian and Romanian-German interpreter. In 2009, she became an authorized translator and interpreter for the Romanian, French, and German.
